Studio Tuesday

These two sippy mugs and the icewater pitcher came out of the kiln.

So today I glazed them.

I made a decision on the 3 trees. So those got glazed.

Before I left I put together these little essential oil scent diffusers. They hang on a wall and you put a couple of drops of your favorite scented oil on a cotton ball and tuck it in there.

The Bunny Series

The\\\The The bunnies all fired to bisque successfully. I didn't take a picture, but I glazed them yesterday too. I used a combo of different browns and reds and black. So calico bun buns!

Sunday Studio Work

I spent almost the entire Sunday at the studio this week. It was getting dark as I left. Here's a peek at some of the pieces I am working on:

Three Christmas luminaries built in black clay. These will get a combo of floating clays. I am excited about these. The texture is horizontal, so the way the glaze fires should be interesting. They are in for bisque firing.

This Christmas luminary is going to be a surprise. I used some underglaze, which I promptly wiped off because I changed my mind. In for bisque firing because I wanted to make sure it stabilized before I went any further with it. We'll see what we get - then I will glaze as usual.

More to follow on this one - Let's see if you can guess what it's going to be.

Tripping the Chair Fantastic!

I love this chair! I am so looking forward to curling up in it with Roxie to crochet and drink tea.  Here's Kevin doing a sit demo:

Here's the First Christmas Piece

I've gotten started on a few holiday pieces. I skipped right over Halloween and Thanksgiving, and got straight onto Christmas.  This Christmas luminary has a place in the back for a cord to exit, so an electric option is available.

It is currently on the drying rack,
I'm thinking twinkling lights would be the most attractive option.

I just finished this!
