Sunday Studio Work

I spent almost the entire Sunday at the studio this week. It was getting dark as I left. Here's a peek at some of the pieces I am working on:

Three Christmas luminaries built in black clay. These will get a combo of floating clays. I am excited about these. The texture is horizontal, so the way the glaze fires should be interesting. They are in for bisque firing.

This Christmas luminary is going to be a surprise. I used some underglaze, which I promptly wiped off because I changed my mind. In for bisque firing because I wanted to make sure it stabilized before I went any further with it. We'll see what we get - then I will glaze as usual.

More to follow on this one - Let's see if you can guess what it's going to be.
